About the artist

Roseanna is an artist, photographer, illustrator, and musician from Barnsley, South Yorkshire. While studying Photography at Norwich University of the Arts 2011-2014, she made illustrations in her spare time, and one afternoon inspired by the popularity of superhero movies I created a character called The Yorkshireman. The image of this flying flat cap wearing hero went viral across the internet. The Yorkshire Lass character followed shortly thereafter.

The success of The Yorkshireman and seeing the response people had to other Yorkshire themed designs gave birth to the idea of her startup business, The Yorkshire Collective – a place not only to share her own artwork, but for other artists across Yorkshire to use as a platform to create and sell their own clothing and accessory collections and celebrate God’s Own County. You can now find many of the original Yorkshire Collective products at their new home at Printed By us.
