About the Archer Project
Based behind Sheffield Cathedral, Archer Project is a relied-upon service by many adults experiencing homelessness. Open five days a week, the Project offers a range of services, therapeutic activities, and on-site medical practitioners to support people to engage with health and well-being.
Relationship building is the core of the charity’s practice. Developing trusting and meaningful relationships with supported individuals, allows our team to deliver tailored care and to support people to progress away from homelessness, manage trauma and achieve recovery.
People at an earlier stage of recovery are often living in a state of day-to-day survival and may access services such as breakfast, lunch, laundry facilities, showers, fresh clothing, mail services and medical support. As an organisation, we recognise recovery is unique to each person, therefore services can be accessed by anyone who needs them. When individuals have developed some routine, there are opportunities to attend therapeutic activities or take part in volunteering. One of the many mindful activities delivered is learning to screen print at one of our workshops. The heritage craft is not only a unique skill to acquire, but positively supports people’s well-being and has been described as therapeutic, by many.
Consistent support is delivered to help people to progress away from homelessness and manage new responsibilities. If people have an interest and would like to, we offer individuals supported, paid employment opportunities at Printed By Us and Just Clean, our other social enterprise.
In 2024, The Archer Project supported 1,223 individuals, served 24,445 meals and facilitated 205 therapeutic activities.
Printed by Us would not exist without the Archer Project, and by working together, we help people progress away from day-to-day survival to living fulfilling lives.
Printed by Us is a Social Enterprise established under The Archer Project, who have a board of trustees that regularly review the project's progress and growth.
