Why we do what we do
Homelessness is a complex issue and everybody's story is different. We believe there is hope and a way forward for every person. We also believe that creativity, enterprise and the people of every local community, all have their part to play.
We want to give opportunities for vulnerable people to learn new skills, build confidence and move forward towards fulfilling lives.
Printed By us has a positive impact on the health and wellbeing for those involved, and is directed and run by people who have overcome challenging circumstances themselves.
How we started
Printed By Us started life at Yoomee, a Digital Agency based in Sheffield which uses technology for social good. Yoomee helps local and national charities and nonprofits use digital innovation to build new online services.
Life at Yoomee involves Investment Time which encourages team members to work on their own ideas and internal projects for social good.
Mark worked with Terry from Archer Project for 3 years to develop the brand. They extended the range into garments and mugs, launched a custom printing service and will able to offer more paid work opportunities to the individuals we worked with each year.
Mark left the organisation a couple of years ago and the current team led by Terry, James and Dani have successfully grown the brand through challenging times, winning national awards along the way and culminating in the launch of the brand’s own shop in Meadowhall Shopping Centre in December 2020. You can still find us there today. You can read more about the Printed By us story so far on our blog.
