This hand pulled three-colour screen print was inspired by shapes and patterns from the 1950s. Designed by Kirstie Williams and printed in Leeds using water-based inks onto recycled cartridge paper.

About the artist
Kirstie Williams works as Print Studio Coordinator at The Art Housein Wakefield and is a founder member of Leeds Print Workshop, a Cooperative printmaking studio located in the centre of Leeds.
Established in 2016, LPW aims to offer affordable printmaking facilities to people in Leeds and surrounding areas and also bring new people to the medium through a range of printmaking workshops and courses.Kirstie is a practising artist and printmaker, primarily working with screen printing processes. She is inspired by 1950s pattern and textiles, and uses bold, simple geometrics in her prints, cards, and textile products.
Why Printed by Us
Hand printed in Leeds by someone in recovery from homelessness and other challenging circumstances. Through Printed by Us, they have learned new skills and are moving forward towards employment. All income is reinvested back into Printed by Us Leeds – a St George’s Crypt initiative.
